Wannabe chef Brooklyn Beckham has caused controversy on his Instagram page yet again after sharing a video of his attempt at a Merseyside favourite. The 23-year-old posted a reel of his take on the popular Liverpudlian delicacy called 'scouse'.
In the short video which he captioned "Scouse soup x one of my favourite dishes", Brooklyn can be seen preparing the dish with ingredients such as red meat, carrots and cabbage. However, judging by the comments it seems like Brooklyn's cooking skills were not appreciated.

Many have taken to the comment section of the video, which has over 80K likes, to voice their displeasure at his attempt with many of them hailing from Liverpool. One commenter sarcastically said: "What’s next. Makes bread, by slicing and buttering bread."
Another questioned the validity of his version of the famous Liverpool grub and said: "Literally not scouse … all Liverpudlians rolling their eyes".
Another commenter chimed in and said: "Carton stock? Don't get me wrong, I use it all the time, but a chef would never." While others had to ask if Brooklyn had washed the vegetables and meat to which he replied "Yes I washed everything".
Not everybody was annoyed though, some commenters came to Brooklyn's defence with one follower berating the deluge of negative comments by saying: "Honestly heartbroken about all the negative comments made about your cooking journey.
"True people with no hatred in their heart want you to know that this is awesome and we’re thankful for you sharing this journey!"

In the video Brooklyn prepares the dish by slicing cuts of red meat, before adding salt and pepper and throwing it in a pot to cook. He then slices carrots and cabbages and ads it to the same pot.
After mixing he adds some stock, and potato and then stirred the pot before skimming the foam off the top of his stew. Nearing the end of the video he adds some more seasoning for good measure before tucking into his creation.
Scouse is a stew that is made from chunks of beef or lamb (or both), onions, carrots, and potatoes. The name is deride from the word ‘lobscouse’, another stew which was commonly eaten by sailors throughout northern Europe.
Brooklyn, who is married to American actress Nicola Peltz, appears to be quite a keen cook and often posts his videos online.
Last week, he shared his recipe for vegan lasagne, which some fans said was 'basic' and 'lacked finesse'. Others however praised him for 'following his passion'.
