Nicola Peltz Beckham's husband, Brooklyn Beckham, recently had an opportunity to film a cameo in her new movie, Lola. However, to his disappointment, the scene did not make it to the final cut of the film.
During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Nicola shared the amusing details of Brooklyn's cameo. She jokingly mentioned that Brooklyn, 24, 'is actually really upset that he did get cut from his one little cameo.' Apparently, his role consisted of just one line, 'Hi,' but he kept delivering it in a British accent while staring directly into the camera. Realizing the need to move on, Nicola decided to keep the scene out of the final version of the film, leading to Brooklyn being 'chopped.'
Despite this setback, Nicola expressed her gratitude to Brooklyn for his unwavering support throughout her directorial debut in Lola. She admitted, 'I couldn't have done any of this without him because he was such a massive support to me every day on set.'
Lola, which premiered in theaters on Friday, is Nicola's directorial and acting venture. In the film, Nicola plays a 19-year-old woman in 2002 who is working hard to accumulate enough money to save her younger brother, Arlo, from their toxic home environment under their domineering mother, Mona (portrayed by Virginia Madsen).
Brooklyn wasn't the only family member involved in the movie. Nicola's brother, Will Peltz, also had a small role. However, Nicola revealed that she couldn't give him a larger part in the narrative due to the audience's perception. She explained, 'I wanted my brother to have a much bigger part, but the thing is, to anyone who might not know he's my brother, they might be thinking to themselves, wait, why didn't she end up with that guy? That guy seems great and he's so handsome. But, like, okay, that would not work out.'
Nicola and Brooklyn have been dating since October 2019. They publicly acknowledged their relationship on Instagram in January 2020 and announced their engagement in July of the same year. The couple exchanged vows in an elegant wedding ceremony held on Peltz's family estate in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 9, 2022.
Showing their support, Nicola's mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, and brother-in-law, Cruz Beckham, attended the recent premiere of Lola. Nicola expressed her heartfelt appreciation for their presence, saying, 'For Victoria to fly out and for Cruz to be there and support me, it means so much to me.' She further mentioned that she was occupied with talking to everyone throughout the evening and didn't even get a chance to sit down.
