Brooklyn Beckham's billion dollar bride whose family make the Beckhams look like paupers

Her in-laws-to-be are one of Britain’s most powerful couples, who have amassed a staggering £343million fortune.

But when Nicola Peltz ties the knot with Brooklyn Beckham on Saturday, it will be her husband who will be the one marrying into a far richer family.

And the “mother of all” prenups the couples have reportedly signed ahead of the ceremony on Florida’s Palm Beach is meant to protect her bank account, not his.

While his father may be known as Golden Balls, 23-year-old Brooklyn is striking gold as he joins a famous American family who makes his parents look like paupers.

The Peltz’s fortune - which 27-year-old Nicola will inherit - sits at around £1.3billion.

The family’s main residence, meanwhile - the Montsorrel estate on Palm Beach where the couple will exchange their vows at this weekend’s £3million wedding - is worth a staggering £71million.

The couple first met in 2017 met at the Coachella music festival, while Brooklyn was still with his former girlfriend Hana Cross, and reconnected two years later at a Halloween party.

In January 2020, they became Instagram-official when Nicola posted a bedroom selfie in a bra, with a shirtless Brooklyn in the foreground, captioned with a simple black heart.

The following month the couple sat front row in coordinating outfits when the attended the Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week.

In July 2020 Brooklyn proposed with a £250,000 emerald diamond ring, and another Instagram picture sharing the news: “I asked my soulmate to marry me, and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world. I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day. I love you, baby xx.”

In her own post, Nicola said: “You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. your love is the most precious gift”.

While she is many times more wealthy than her husband-to-be, actress Nicola is also more famous Stateside too.

That was made painfully clear in a cringeworthy interview during last year’s Met Gala, when co-host Keke Palmer gushed over Nicola before turning to Brooklyn and, clearly not knowing who he was, asked: “Where are you from?”

Known for roles both on the small and big screen, Nicola made her acting debut aged 11 in 2006, in the Christmas comedy movie Deck the Halls, starring Danny Devito.

She went on to portray Bradley Martin in the drama series Bates Motel from 2013 to 2015, and played Mark Walhberg’s on-screen daughter Tessa Teager in the 2014 blockbuster Transformers: Age of Extinction.

And before finding true love with Brooklyn, she had several high-profile romances.

In 2016 she was briefly linked to Justine Bieber, who wanted to “settle down and have a relationship” with her, according to friends. But the romance fizzled after a few months.

She then dated model Anwar Hadid, the brother of models Gigi and Bella Hadid, for 16 months from January 2017, and are said to have split amicably. She was then linked to musician Paul Klein in late 2018, but again the relationship only lasted a few months.

While her marriage to David and Victoria’s eldest son is likely to increase both their profiles, it’s not going to make her significantly richer. Nicola’s businessman father Nelson Peltz, 69, grew up from a former truck driver into one of America’s wealthiest men.

Known throughout the States for a fearsome reputation in business, the father-of-ten was born to a Jewish family in, ironically, Brooklyn.

He dropped out of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School - later attended by Donald Trump - in 1963 to become a ski instructor.

Instead, for $100 a week, he started driving delivery trucks for his father’s frozen food business before he and his brother assembled the biggest packaging company in the world, Triangle Industries, which was sold in 1989, netting him around £667m.

Nelson later founded Trian Fund Management, which has acquired and invested in brands including Cadbury, Pepsi, Procter & Gamble, Heinz and Schweppes, making him the 42nd richest person in the US, according to Forbes.

The tycoon was a long-term supporter of Trump being neighbours for decades in Florida, but after the deadly US Capitol Hill riot said he was “sorry” he voted for Trump in 2020.

Nicola’s mother Claudia, Nelson’s third wife, was previously a fashion model and is known for her diamonds and philanthropy.

It meant that Nicola and her six siblings, including actor Will and former ice-hockey star Brad, grew up with eye-watering privilege, splitting their times between their Palm Beach home and a 27-bedroom mansion in a town on New York’s wealthy outskirts called Bedford, complete with an ice hockey rink, vast lake, waterfall and a flock of albino peacocks.

Couting stars like Bruce Willis and Glenn Close among their neighbours, the family are reported to have two private jets and helicopters to get them around, and a large number of domestic staff, including house-keepers, body guards, maids and gardeners.

In 2001 Nelson lost a five-year battle with his neighbours who objected to the noise of him commuting to his downtown New York office via helicopter.

They also have a reputation for firing staff on a whim. In 2016, the couple was sued by their dog walker and chauffeur, Juan Gonzalez, who said he was fired after taking a day off sick. The case was settled.

And Nicola was always going to get a no-expense-spared wedding. Her father hit headlines in 2016 when he reportedly threw a £1.6m Bar Mitzvah for his twin sons Zachary and Gregory, complete with stilt walkers, two bands and hundreds of guests.

With Brooklyn and Nicola already being talked of as showbiz’s next power couple, it’s clear she won’t be giving up any of the luxury she’s used to. Last year the couple bought a lavish £7.5m mansion in Beverly Hills, with private yoga room, gym, outdoor infinity pool and even a juice bar. They are now reportedly looking to sell it and move closer to her parents in Miami.
