Brooklyn Beckham confuses fans as he says it takes eight hours to make wife Nicola's favourite pasta dish

Aspiring chef Brooklyn Beckham caused confusion as he revealed what he likes to cook for his wife Nicola. The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham has lifted the lid on actress Nicola's favourite dishes which raised eyebrows.

The 23-year-old spoke to People magazine about Nicola's fondness for his cooking, and in particular angel hair pasta which she has served with 'pink sauce'. Brooklyn says the Transformers star also loves classic spaghetti bolognese.

However, he left people baffled when he said it takes him EIGHT HOURS to make the traditional Italian dish for her. The star, who smiled as he listed her favourites, said: "My favourite thing to cook a lot, she loves angel hair with pink sauce." He added: "But she also loves the spaghetti bolognese I make her, it takes like eight hours to make the sauce."

But others thought it was 'cute.' tinfoilhyna1.0 pointed out: "@aislinghathaway secrets in the sauce." meesh610 praised: "He’s so freaken cute! And can cook!" patawetz said: "@daryl.ord it’s the thought out into it that counts, especially if it takes him 8 hrs, cute." And lorainnecampbell exclaimed: "Guys you don’t stand next to it while it cooks for 8 hours!"

Brooklyn recently spoke to Variety about his hopes to open a pub in LA that serves 'healthy comfort food' and have a reality show with Nicola. He previously attended New York's Parson's School of Design to study photography and released the 2017 book What I See.

He said about his love of cooking: "I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking.' Brooklyn, who regularly shares his recipes on his social media with fans, says he's almost 100 per cent self-taught and since the start of quarantine he's done it every day.

Brooklyn and Nicola married in April at her family's mansion in Florida. The first son of Manchester United legend David, and Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria, said 'I do' after the couple started dating in October 2019 and announced their engagement in July 2020. The stunning bride wore a floor-length custom-made white gown by Valentino for the oceanfront ceremony.

Nicola was recently flooded with support after she opened up to fans in an emotional Instagram post. She shared two photos of herself in which it was visible that she had been crying. One snap was a close-up of her red puffy eyes as spoke of people who 'make you feel bad'.

She explained how she found it hard to 'show the sad bits of me' and how her upbringing helped her to not let 'people bring me down or hurt my heart.' But she said she had wanted to show her vulnerable side as she told her followers: "We all have days where people make you feel bad and it’s okay to be hurt by it."

She typed: "Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad bits of me. Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents, made me really tough, they hammered it into me to not let people bring me down or hurt my heart.

"It made me put such a wall up to protect myself, especially in this industry. We all have days where people make you feel bad and it’s okay to be hurt by it.

"I just thought I would write something because I never show this side of me here. I wanted to show this side of me. I love you all so much and truly appreciate all of your support. It means so much when you guys are kind on my page I want you to know I see you, I hear you, and it means a lot to me."
