Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest child of Victoria and David Beckham, is set to get married to his fiancée Nicola Peltz this weekend. With his parents being who they are, Brooklyn has big shoes to fill, as Victoria and David's majestic wedding back in 1999 drives hard competition.
During their nuptials 23 years ago, the Spice Girl and the footballer defined extravagance. From the bride's truly stunning Vera Wang-designed wedding dress and 18K gold tiara, to the live doves that were released when the pair said, 'I do, and the matching purple reception outfits, everything was over the top.
Of course, Brooklyn's wedding ceremony, as a Beckham, was never going to be modest. Nicola's family are hardly strapped for cash, either, with her father, American businessman Nelson Peltz, worth a reported £1.3billion - a whopping sum which puts the Beckham's estimated fortune of £380million somewhat to shame.

Although 23-year-old Brooklyn and 27-year-old Nicola first met all the way back in 2017, they did not start dating until 2019, after bumping into each other at a Halloween party. Following their time spent self-isolating together in the United States during the first wave of the pandemic, Brooklyn popped the question to his girlfriend in summer 2020, doing so with a £350,000 ring.
After delaying their nuptials as a result of the ongoing pandemic, this Saturday (April 9) the pair will finally be tying the knot. The ceremony is set to take place at Nicola's family home, a £76million mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, and is set to host a galaxy of the entertainment industry's biggest stars.
Sadly, Brooklyn's godfather, Elton John, will not be attending the highly-anticipated wedding, but he certainly will not be short of support from other high-profile guests, friends, and family members. Some of the stars reportedly invited to the lavish ceremony include Victoria's fellow Spice Girls, Madonna's son Rocco Ritchie, former footballer Phil Neville, and TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
David and Victoria may have had the soft piano melody of a Beauty and the Beast song playing as they walked into their wedding venue, but their son and his future wife will be enjoying an entirely different genre of music at their ceremony. The pair have chosen Snoop Dog to DJ at their wedding, with the rapper claiming that he is 'tight' with 'his boy' David's family.
As for the various roles that need filling on the big day, David will be acting as the Master of Ceremonies, an important job he has put himself forward for. As for Brooklyn's three younger siblings, Romeo and Cruz will be best men. Meanwhile, Harper will be one of Nicola's bridesmaids, whilst Nicola's grandmother will be Maid of Honour and her brother, Brad, will be Man of Honour.
Tomorrow night, Nicola and Brooklyn will be spending the evening before their wedding away from each other. Brooklyn will be hosting a boys sleepover, which his brothers, father, future father-in-law and brothers-in-law are invited to. Meanwhile, Nicola will be doing the same, but with her mother and sister, Brittany.
Although many people on this side of the pond only know Nicola because of her upcoming marriage to Brooklyn, the 27-year-old has starred in several well-known films and television series. Her most notable roles are arguably as Bradley Martin in Bates Motel, and as Tessa Yeager in Transformers: Age of Extinction.
