Brooke Vincent says lesbian snog on Coronation Street was her first-ever kiss

Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent has revealed that her first-ever kiss was a lesbian snog on the show.

Brooke shared a kiss with co-star Sasha Parkinson, who played Sian Powers.

The 29-year-old actress was only 16 when the storyline between her character Sophie Webster and Sian came about.

She confessed that her inexperience in kissing made her nervous about how to do it.

"It was like the end of the shoot and they brought it forward so we had no time to think about it," Brooke revealed.

"So bearing in mind, not only is this my first kind of lesbian on-screen kiss, it's my first kind of kiss.

“So I was a bit like 'where we at here, do we do tongues, do we not, do I put my head this side, which side are you going? Have you brushed your teeth?'

"I remember we had a tea break beforehand. I remember saying 'are you going to eat that?' I think it was something like garlic, or like garlic and herb Philadelphia. To make light of it."

Speaking to Vicky Pattison's The Secret To podcast, Brooke added that it was 'amazing'.

"There wasn't reality TV, there wasn't young influencers, there wasn't anything like, so we had an absolute ball," she said.

"We thought we were so f***ing important - it was like 'the nation's favourite lesbian' please, address me by my title."

She quit the show as she became a mother to two-year-old Mexx and nine-month-old Monroe.

It was thought that the star - who began her acting career on the ITV soap at the age of 14 - was on maternity leave during the period but a Coronation Street source shared that her contract ended two years ago.

“Everyone thought Brooke would be coming back to the soap but her contract ended two years ago and there are no talks about bringing her back on," an insider told The Sun.

Sharing how being a parent to the kids she shares with West Bromwich Albion footballer Kean Bryan is her main priority, they added: "She is loving being a mother of two young boys and plans to be a full-time mum most the time."

The source also explained that she has a good income from her own company and Instagram posts as well as her partner's football salary.
