Brooke Vincent has shared a gushing tribute to her Coronation Street star cousin on her 21st birthday. Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass in the ITV soap, celebrated the milestone with a party over the weekend before quietly marking the official day on Tuesday (March 15).
Among those sending her messages on her special day was former soap star Lucy Fallon, who played Corrie's Bethany Platt, and on-screen boyfriend Colson Smith, best known for portraying former PC Craig Tinker.
But Brooke, 28, went all out with her message to her younger cousin, sharing childhood snaps and unseen video from her big birthday bash on Saturday night. The actress, who is also known for playing the role of Sophie Webster in Corrie, started by sharing a glam snap of Ellie who looked worlds away from her on-screen character in an iridescent strapless mini dress that came with its own train.
The 21-year-old soap star smiled for the camera, lifting up her foot to show off her sparkling stiletto heels which featured a butterfly back while posing in front of a huge balloon display with giant light-up numbers showing off her new age.
"Happy 21st to our beautiful @ellielouiseleach," Brooke wrote alongside the snap before continuing on with her message. My boys love you so much! @ellielousieleach," she said alongside a photo of Ellie with one of her two sons before later sharing one of them wearing their dressing gowns, commenting: "Your hugs are the best and you're that always pair of extra hands I am forever needing."
One image also showed a glam-looking Ellie on holiday as she posed in a strapless black dress with red earrings and matching red lip. "You're the cutest most thoughtful young cat I know," Brooke said.
The actress also revealed that Ellie looked out for her when she was seven-months pregnant on a girls holiday at a pool party and shared a throwback snap of the pair as kids.
"Forever making me laugh and always up for those photo opportunities where we are made to say 'cheese'," Brooke laughed over the childhood image.
"I love you so much!! I hope you've had the best birthday," Brooke added before finishing off her string of Instagram Story posts with videos of Ellie singing along to The Killers track Mr Brightside before busting some 'rehearsed' moves at her birthday party. Brooke wasn't the only one to share a few throwback snaps to mark the occasion.
Co-star Colson shared two pictures of them both from scenes on Coronation Street and said: "Happy Birthday @ellielouiseleach. Throwback to the Weathy High days." But he also shared a more recent photo, again from Ellie's 21st party, of him stood alongside the birthday girl with Lucy. "And then to a bit more recent," he said. "Have and amazing 21st."
