Brooke Vincent isn't a celebrity who will pretend everything is perfect on social media as she took to the social media platform to tell fans all about her disaster-filled day. The former Coronation Street star spoke last week about the battle she is facing when it comes to her children's sleeping arrangements.
Actress Brooke, who played Sophie Webster in the ITV soap, shares sons Mexx, three, and one-year-old Monroe with her footballer fiance Kean Bryan. She shared how since their holiday to Tenerife to ring in the new year, the two boys had been 'horrendous' when it came to a good night's rest.
Brooke went on to explain. "And 9/10 BOTH in bed with us with Monroe WRAPPED around my neck." The mum-of-two then later reshared a post from The Mum Circle and Instagram which clearly struck a chord. The message started: "Dear bedsharing mama, I know your muscles ache and your hips feel tight. It's hard to share your body, every day and every night."

The poem then ended: "You knew that's what they need and it's what you needed too... To rest so close and so connected to the hear who lived in you." Writing alongside the post on her own Instagram Story, Brooke said: "This is me atm. Yes, I'm crying," alongside a broken heart and weary face emoji.
But on Friday (January 27) it appears the lack of sleep got to Brooke. She shared a video of herself in her car to her Instagram Story and wrote alongside it: "I'm THAT tired I've got ready and I've come out and forgot to put mascara on. Please tell me other people's children aren't sleeping atm [at the moment] because mine are BAD!" She then added: "Like really bad."
The soap star, from Audenshaw, then shortly followed the post with a photo from inside her car and added: "I've also just gone to fill my car up with diesel. It's petrol." And it appears things didn't get better for Brooke. "Just in case you were wondering if the day got better... No no! It didn't," she typed alongside a photo of her sat back in the car with her eyes closed looking defeated.
"I've just driven into, drover over and reversed BACK over a bollard. TO make matters worse, 3 people saw the incident. They said nothing and neither did I. One of the people did, however, raise his finger whilst I was in the process of going over the bollard for the second time to indicate there was a bollard there."
She then added; "Brilliant," before going on a bit of a jokey rant. Speaking to the camera, Brooke who was donning a black baseball cap, fumed: "Before when I said about the boys not sleeping, people messaged back saying, 'my kids are fine'. I don't want to know that your kids are fine. I want the horror stories.
"I want everybody else to tell me, 'No Brooke, I'm absolutely knackered exactly the same as you.' But no. 'My kids are sleeping'. I don't want to know that Freddie has done a full nine hours. I don't want to know Sharon. I really don't want to know." She then added in the caption: "Horror stories only from now on please," alongside a crying laughing face and thumbs up emoji.
Last week, Brooke left fans hoping for a Corrie return as she paid a visit to the cobbles with her eldest son. While she is no longer under contract with the ITV soap, the door has been left open for her character to return after Sophie left in the back of a taxi in October 2019.
Her exit from Weatherfield came ahead of the birth of her first child, Mexx, who was born on October 23 2019, and on May 4 2021 Brooke gave birth to her second son Monroe with her footballer fiance Kean Bryan.
Brooke took toddler Mexx with her to the Salford-based set where she got to catch up with her on-screen family and former co-stars. And there was also time for some photo opportunities outside some of the soap's famous landmarks.
Brooke and Mexx could first be seen posing outside Webster's autocentre which of course belongs to Brooke's on-screen dad, Kevin Webster, played by Mike Le Vell. The pair also paid a visit to the iconic Rovers Return and the mother-and-son were also sweetly seen holding hands as they walked down the cobbles.
"The Most Iconic Street," Brooke started the caption of the string of snaps. "Today I took Mexx back to Corrie, Last time I was here I was about to give birth to him!! 3 years have past, everything has changed, yet everything is still the same.. I saw old friends and people I literally spent over half my life working with!!! Forever a huge part of me." She then added: "Until next time. We had the best time visiting."
