Brooke Shields has revealed she refused to have sex with John F. Kennedy Jr. after he was "less than chivalrous" on their first and only date.
The actress, 57, admitted he was "the best kiss I have ever had", but said their date went downhill after he kept comparing her to his mother, former First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
Brooke admitted she "froze" at the thought of having sex with him because she was scared at the possibility of him not calling her afterwards.
"I was so madly in love with him since the time I was three. My mom would say, 'That's the boy you're going to marry'," she said.
The Hollywood star said their paths crossed while she was in Aspen, Colorado, for a wedding in the 1980s.
Kennedy was in town for a family ski trip and invited Brooke to join them on the slopes.
"I had never skied before in my life, had to get ski lifted out because I went into some trees," Brooke admitted during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
She said Kennedy failed to help her when she "couldn't get off the mountain", but she forgave him and agreed to go on a date with him afterwards.
They went to a bar with his family, but things continued to go downhill.
"He kept saying I looked like his mother which was really interesting and it was a compliment but I was also like, 'I don't know how to feel about this'."
However, Brooke went on to reveal that she gave him another chance, saying: "We did have a real date and I wouldn't sleep with him because I kind of loved him too much."
The pair went to a ski chalet for their date where they enjoyed a passionate embrace.
"He kissed me and it was like the best kiss I've ever had in my life."
The podcast host asked: "Really? It was not disappointing?"
"It was beyond not disappointing," Brooke replied. "Just, the lips are beautiful and the face is amazing and the body and the person and he was down to Earth."
Despite living out her childhood fantasy, the actress admitted she "froze" and declined to sleep with Kennedy because the kiss had been "so precious".
"I was so afraid of being really hurt, because if I slept with him, I would have given him by entire universe, my heart, my everything."
Their brief romance ended when JFK Jr. made her take a cab home, something she described as "a little less than chivalrous".
Brooke admitted she saw Kennedy the next day on the ski slope where he "didn't talk" to her.
She said her initial reaction was to think: "Thank God... because he might still not have talked to you, even if you had [slept with him].
"He showed his true colours in that."
