Bronny James Shows Off New McDonald’s All-American Jersey

Bronny James will participate in the 2023 McDonald’s All-American game on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Lakers star LeBron James's eldest son revealed his jersey number for the event, electing to wear the No. 23 that his father wore during his high school career and earlier NBA days.

Bronny, who plays high school basketball at Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Calif., will be on the West team for next week’s showdown. He wore the No. 0 for his high school team, averaging 14.2 points per game during his senior season, per SB Live

Of course, 20 years ago, his father was taking to the hardwood to participate in the McDonald’s All-American game himself, though LeBron wore the No. 32 jersey for the game.

The James Gang was in attendance as Bronny got his new uniform, and they were beaming from ear to ear as he presented the No. 23 jersey for photos.

Bronny is widely regarded by recruitment databases as a four-star recruit, though On3 bumped him up to five-star status earlier this year. The 18-year-old remains undecided when it comes to his college decision, and he’s the only player of the 24 McDonald’s All-American boys participants who has yet to announce his future plans.

The game is set to tip off from Houston at the Toyota Center on Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET.
