The Denver Broncos have limited draft picks and negative salary cap space going into the 2024 offseason.
So, ahead of NFL free agency, it would not be surprising to see the Broncos acquire more draft capital and free up cap space through trades. One of the most notable trade candidates to keep an eye on this spring is wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.
Denver has discussed the possibility of trading Jeudy with multiple teams over the last two years and the receiver is set to have a $12.987 million salary cap hit in 2024 when his fifth-year option kicks in.
As for Jeudy, he’s not worrying about his uncertain future with the team.
“I don’t care about any of that,” Jeudy told KUSA-TV’s Mike Klis on Sunday. “I know me, I’m a baller. And I’m going to keep on with whatever happens.”
Jeudy gave a more colorful answer when asked again about his future when players were made available to media in the locker room on Monday.
“I don’t give a [expletive] about none of that,” Jeudy said, according to The Denver Post‘s Parker Gabriel.
Jeudy, 24, has totaled 211 receptions for 3,053 yards and 11 touchdowns in four seasons (57 games) with the Broncos. The former first-round pick out of Alabama has not quite lived up to expectations in Denver, and a change of scenery could prove to be beneficial for all parties.
