Broncos wish Von Miller ‘nothing but the best’ despite loss to Bills

After the Buffalo Bills knocked the Denver Broncos out of the NFL playoffs on Sunday, pass rusher Von Miller caught up with several former teammates on the field. Miller then took to social media to troll cornerback Pat Surtain with a good-natured Michael Jordan meme.

Despite the teasing, Surtain said “it was great” to catch up with Miller after a 31-7 loss in Buffalo.

“Von, that’s my guy,” Surtain said after the game. “When I came in to Broncos Country, he really brought me in and taught me the ways, taught me the ropes — this and that. He was one of the best veterans I’ve had over the span of my career. It was good chatting up with him. Good seeing him. I wish him nothing but the best and success moving forward.”

Despite a loss to the Bills on Sunday, many Broncos fans will now root for Miller and Buffalo to eventually knock the Kansas City Chiefs out of the playoffs. Miller won a Super Bowl in Denver and a second title with the Los Angeles Rams. He is now seeking a third ring with his third team.

Miller and Bills are set to face the Baltimore Ravens in the divisional round of the playoffs. If Buffalo wins that game, the Bills will meet the winners of the Chiefs-Houston Texans matchup in the AFC Championship game.
