Broncos will wear throwback uniform vs. Chiefs in Week 18

With the NFL playoffs on the line, the Denver Broncos will wear their fan-favorite throwback uniform against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

NFL teams can wear alternate or throwback uniforms up to three times per season. Earlier this year, the Broncos wore their throwbacks in a 34-18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Denver later wore its alternate uniform in a 41-32 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 13.

The Broncos will now use their third and final alternate/throwback window to wear their best look against the Chiefs on Sunday, Jan. 5 at 2:25 p.m. MT on CBS. If Denver beats (or ties) Kansas City, they will clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs.

The Broncos previously announced the team’s jersey color for all 17 games earlier this year. Denver’s home games this fall featured jersey colors white (once), blue (once), throwback (twice) and orange (four times).

On the road, the Broncos had one orange jersey game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3. Besides that Bucs contest, Denver’s eight other road games all featured white jerseys.

The Broncos will look to improve to 2-0 in their throwback look on Sunday. Beating their division rival would give Denver a 10-7 record, which would be the team’s most wins in a season since Peyton Manning retired in 2016.
