The Denver Broncos are set to host Michael Penix Jr. on a pre-draft visit, the quarterback confirmed during a recent interview with ESPN’s Brady Henderson. That visit will take place this week, according to the Denver Gazette‘s Chris Tomasson.
The Broncos also met with Penix at the NFL combine, and they sent their pass game coordinator, college director and two scouts to his pro day last week. Denver is scheduled to pick 12th overall in the draft and Penix is expected to be available at that spot.
Penix also has visits scheduled with the New York Giants (No. 6), Atlanta Falcons (No. 8), Las Vegas Raiders (No. 13) and Pittsburgh Steelers (No. 20). He seems unlikely to go off the board in the top half of the first round. Our most recent seven-round mock draft for the Broncos has them trading down to select Penix early in the second round.
The 2024 NFL draft will be held in Detroit from April 25-27.
