If there are any teams looking to trade for disgruntled Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, they had better be ready to pay up. According to Broncos reporter Ben Allbright, the asking price from Denver is pretty steep. Allbright says the Broncos want a first or high second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft in addition to a player.
Any team looking at Jeudy at that price needs to evaluate where he falls in relation to this draft class. In three seasons, Jeudy has underwhelmed, due in part to missing time with injuries. Jeudy played in 15 games in 2022 and caught 67 passes for 972 passing yards and six receiving touchdowns. Solid but not first-round pick solid.
Looking at the wide receiver class, the most likely first-round receivers are as follows:
Quentin Johnson – TCU
Jordan Addison – USC
Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Ohio State
Jaylin Hyatt, Tennessee
Josh Downs – North Carolina
Zay Flowers – Boston College
If you are a team in the market for a receiver, it’s hard to justify giving up a pick and a player over just drafting one of these guys. We would definitely put Jeudy ahead of the next tier of receivers in this draft and a mid-second might be the best the Broncos could command.
