In his latest 2024 NFL mock draft, Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar has the Denver Broncos addressing the quarterback position in the first round.
The Broncos land Oregon quarterback Bo Nix at pick No. 12 overall after the top three QBs — Caleb Williams (No. 2), Drake Maye (No. 3) and Jayden Daniels (No. 6) — go off the board early in Farrar’s mock.
Denver will get a close look at Nix during Senior Bowl practices in Mobile, Alabama this week (and at Saturday’s all-star game). The fifth-year senior will turn 24 later this month. Nix (6-3, 214 pounds) spent three years at Auburn before transferring to Oregon ahead of the 2022 season.
Over the last two seasons with the Ducks, Nix completed 74.9% of his passes for 8,101 yards with 74 touchdowns against 10 interceptions in 27 games. He also rushed for 744 yards and 20 scores.
Pro Football Focus has dubbed Nix “an ideal option” for the Broncos if the team is seeking a first-round quarterback in April. We have mapped out scenarios where it could happen — with or without Jarrett Stidham on the roster this spring.
