Broncos select OT JC Latham in 2024 NFL mock draft

Admittedly, it’s way too early for a 2024 NFL mock draft, but with the league entering the slowest part of the offseason, Touchdown Wire’s Doug Farrar has released an updated mock to give fans something to discuss.

In his mock draft, Farrar has the Denver Broncos selecting Alabama offensive tackle JC Latham with the 15th overall pick.

Latham (6-6, 335 pounds) started all 13 games at right tackle for the Crimson Tide in his second season at the school last fall.

It’s an interesting pick given that Garett Bolles ($20 million) and Mike McGlinchey ($18.5 million) have big money committed to them in 2024. Perhaps Farrar is thinking ahead — Bolles will turn 32 next offseason and the Broncos can save $16 million in cap space if they cut the veteran tackle.

Even if Denver does not cut Bolles, he is currently scheduled to become a 33-year-old free agent in 2025, so drafting a promising young tackle would probably be a smart move for the Broncos.

Farrar has USC quarterback Caleb Williams going No. 1 overall to the Arizona Cardinals and Clemson defensive linemen Tyler Davis going to the Kansas City Chiefs at pick No. 32 to wrap up the first round.
