Broncos Wire’s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at rookie defensive lineman Jordan Miller, No. 68.
Before the Broncos: Miller (6-3, 307 pounds) spent five years with the Miami Hurricanes, totaling 60 tackles (11 behind the line of scrimmage), three sacks and two fumble recoveries in 48 games. Miller then made a graduate transfer to SMU ahead of the 2023 season. Last fall, Miller recorded 26 tackles (four behind the line), one pass breakup and a half sack in 14 games with the Mustangs.
Broncos tenure: Denver signed Miller as a college free agent following the 2024 NFL draft. He’s set to compete for a rotational spot on the defensive line this summer.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Long shot. Zach Allen, D.J. Jones, John Franklin-Myers, Malcolm Roach, Matt Henningsen, Angelo Blackson and Elijah Garcia are likely all above Miller on the depth chart (and Eyioma Uwazurike might return from his suspension this year). With plenty of competition on the defensive line, Miller will face long odds to make the active roster as a rookie.
