Broncos Wire’s 90-man offseason roster series continues today with a look at rookie running back Audric Estime, No. 37.
Before the Broncos: Estime (5-11, 233 pounds) played college football at Notre Dame, spending three years with the Fighting Irish. In his final two seasons, Estime rushed 366 times for 2,261 yards and 29 touchdowns. He earned second-team All-American recognition in each of his final two seasons and was named Notre Dame’s Offensive Player of the Year in 2023. He led the Fighting Irish with 1,483 yards from scrimmage and 18 touchdowns last fall.
Broncos tenure: Denver picked Estime in the fifth round of this year’s NFL draft. He joins a running back room that includes Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie and Blake Watson.
Chances to make the 53-man roster: Likely. Even in a crowded backfield, Estime seems likely to make the active roster. Williams and Perine are both scheduled to become free agents in 2025 and the Broncos were likely planning for the future when they drafted Estime this spring. He might have a limited role as a rookie, but Estime figures to make the team this summer.
