The Denver Broncos season ended abruptly in Buffalo on Sunday, with the host Bills controlling the AFC Wild Card matchup in a 31-7 win. There was a bright spot for Denver in the postseason loss, something that has never happened before in NFL history.
When Bo Nix found Troy Franklin for the touchdown at the end of Denver’s first drive of the game, it marked the first time in NFL postseason history that a rookie quarterback completed a touchdown pass to a rookie wide receiver.

It gets even better. Nix and Stewart were college teammates at Oregon a year ago. Nix was Denver’s first-round pick, while Franklin was tabbed in the fourth round.
