Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds and two other men were shot at after leaving a strip club in Glendale, Colorado last week.
Reynolds was shot in his arm and the back of his head. After news of the shooting broke on Thursday, the Broncos released the following statement:
Josh Reynolds was a victim of a shooting on Friday in Denver and received treatment for minor injuries. Out of respect for the legal process, we will defer further comment on this matter to the authorities.
The team describing the receiver’s injuries as “minor” is a very positive sign.
Denver Police announced this week that Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza were arrested in the shooting case.
Reynolds, 29, signed a two-year, $9 million deal with the Broncos this spring. The veteran receiver totaled 12 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown in five games this season before being placed on injured reserve with a finger injury. He has been at practice this week working on his conditioning on a side field with injured players.
