After an ugly 12-9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts last week, the Denver Broncos are now ranked 27th in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s up two spots from their No. 29 ranking last week.
Here is Davis’ commentary on the Broncos going into Week 6:
We’ll wager QB Russell Wilson won’t accrue any MVP votes for the 11th consecutive season.
Harsh, but fair at the moment.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 3, followed by the Los Angeles Chargers (No. 13) and Las Vegas Raiders (No. 25). Denver is considered the worst team in the division, at least by Davis.
Up next for the Broncos is a road game against the Chargers on Monday Night Football this week.
The Carolina Panthers are ranked No. 32 (last) and the Philadelphia Eagles are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings going into Week 6, visit USATODAY.com.
