The Denver Broncos lost to the Carolina Panthers 23-10 on the road in Week 12, dropping them to 3-8 on the season.

Denver trailed 10-3 at halftime after the Broncos failed to capitalize on a short field following a Panthers fumble, settling for a field goal after getting down to the six-yard line. Denver also had a promising first-half drive halted when quarterback Russell Wilson was strip-sacked and Carolina recovered.

Things didn’t get much better in the second half as the offense scored just one touchdown (Brandon Johnson scored in his second game as a pro). Broncos running back Latavius Murray was the team’s biggest threat on offense, rushing 13 times for 92 yards, but game flow did not allow Denver to lean on its rushing attack in the second half while trailing.

On the injury front, linebacker Dakota Allen suffered a hamstring injury and did not return. Broncos cornerback Darius Phillips was also evaluated for a possible concussion but was able to return to the game.

Up next for Denver is a road game against the Baltimore Ravens.
