After defeating the Houston Texans (0-0-1) 16-9 in Week 2, the Denver Broncos (1-1) are now ranked 27th in Nate Davis’ latest NFL power rankings for USA TODAY Sports. That’s down four spots from their 23rd overall ranking last week.
Here is Davis’ commentary with Denver’s rank this week:
Six trips into the red zone this season, and nary a touchdown. However it must be noted Denver’s defense hasn’t allowed a RZ TD, either.
Elsewhere in the AFC West, the Kansas City Chiefs are ranked No. 2, followed by the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 5 and Las Vegas Raiders at No. 20. The Broncos remain the lowest-ranked team in the division going into Week 3.
The San Francisco 49ers, who Denver will host on Sunday Night Football this week, are ranked No. 11.
The Indianapolis Colts are ranked No. 32 (last) and the Buffalo Bills are ranked No. 1. To view the complete NFL power rankings going into Week 3, visit USATODAY.com.
