Broncos have a pair of Super Bowl rematches on their 2023 schedule

The Denver Broncos have reached eight Super Bowls in their history, winning three of them. The team’s 2023 schedule includes a pair of title game rematches — one that Denver won, and one that the Broncos lost.

In Week 2, Denver will host the Washington Commanders in a rematch of Super Bowl XXII (the Broncos lost 42-10).

In Week 7, Denver will host the Green Bay Packers in a rematch of Super Bowl XXXII. The Broncos beat the Packers 31-24 in that title game to mark the first championship win in franchise history.

Denver’s showdowns with Washington and Green Bay are two of 27 Super Bowl rematches on the NFL’s 2023 schedule. Next year, the Broncos are scheduled to have at least two more Super Bowl rematches when they face the Atlanta Falcons (XXXIII) and Carolina Panthers (50).

Depending on who Denver faces from the NFC West, the Broncos could have a third rematch in 2024 if the team faces either the San Francisco 49ers (XXIV) or Seattle Seahawks (XLVIII). Both of those games were blowout losses, so Denver would certainly like to get some revenge.

The Broncos will place a same-place finisher from the NFC West in 2024. Last year, that was the Arizona Cardinals.
