The Denver Broncos made two additions to the active roster ahead of Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Broncos elevated running back Tyler Badie and tight end Lucas Krull from the practice squad to the game-day roster on Saturday. Badie and Krull will revert back to the practice squad on Monday.
Players on the practice squad can be elevated up to three times during the season without having to clear waivers in order to return to the practice squad. This weekend marks the third time that Krull has been elevated, so if the Broncos want him on a game-day roster later this season, the tight end will have to be officially promoted to the 53-man roster.
Krull has served as the team’s No. 3 tight end behind Adam Trautman and Chris Manhertz for two games this season. Greg Dulcich remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Badie, meanwhile, was elevated after fellow running back Samaje Perine (knee) missed Friday’s practice. Perine is listed as questionable on the injury report, but Badie’s elevation might be a sign that Perine will be inactive on Sunday.
