Boardmasters has confirmed that Stormzy will play the festival in 2024 with Chase and Status being named as the other weekend headliner.
The South London rapper, also known as Big Mike, is a huge addition to the Newquay lineup and suggests he could be back with a fourth album next year after 2022’s This is What I Mean. Stormzy released Witness Me alongside Jacob Collier, Shawn Mendes and Kirk Franklin this week. This year, he was also a headliner for Victoria Park's All Points East festival in August.
Meanwhile, drum and bass legends Chase and Status have made a mainstream comeback in 2023 having a string of charting singles from their recent mixtape 2 Ruff, Vol 1. The DJs have also announced they will be at TRNSMT and We Are FSTVL.
With more to be announced, current names on the bill are Katy B, Andy C, Bakar, Becky Hill, Bicep Present Chroma Av DJ, Kenya Grace, Tom Odell, and Nia Archives.
In 2023, the headliners were Lorde and Liam Gallagher while Florence + The Machine drew Boardmasters 2023 to a close off the back of the release of last year’s acclaimed Dance Fever album.
When is Boardmasters 2024?
The festival will be held from August 7-11 at Newquay’s Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay.
Around 150,000 usually descend on Cornwall for the event which doubles as a music and also a surfing festival.
