Bristol Bears get their 2022/23 season underway on Friday night with their first pre-season friendly.
Pat Lam’s side travel to France to take on Brive in the Challenge Armand Vaquerin.
It will be the first opportunity for a number of new players to pull on a Bears jersey and for the Bristol squad to get some competitive minutes under their belt as they look to bid to be title contenders in the Gallagher Premiership once again this season.
Having played no public pre-season games last season and come into the Premiership campaign looking undercooked, Bears director of rugby Lam has changed his approach this summer with three matches scheduled.
