Brittany Mahomes is reportedly having a major rethink about her support for Donald Trump, and it all comes down to a recent Twitter meltdown aimed at her bestie, Taylor Swift.
The former president took to Truth Social and declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” after Taylor endorsed Kamala Harris for president and Brittany is apparently not standing for the attack.
Brittany was labelled a Trump supporter when fans noticed her liking one of his posts and other pro-Trump comments on social media — which made it crystal clear where she stood TBH. But this latest drama has her allegedly questioning whether that label still fits. According to sources, the situation has left her “shaken to the core” especially since Taylor is someone she considers “like a sister”.
A source close to her spilled the tea and said, “She is questioning her support for Donald Trump after he lashed out at Taylor,” per the Daily Mail.
For those who don’t know, Brittany and Taylor’s friendship blossomed through their partners on the Kansas City Chiefs — Brittany is married to quarterback Patrick Mahomes, while Taylor is dating tight end Travis Kelce. They were often seen together cheering on their men last season and have been seen going for dinners together. Just recently, they were spotted looking like absolute besties at the U.S. Open.
However, fans have noticed that when Taylor returned to support her manz this season, she sat apart from Brittany two weeks in a row.
A source close to Brittany shared that Trump’s comments really hit home for her because Taylor has done “absolutely nothing wrong.”
“She does not believe in hate in any form and loves Taylor so much,” the insider added.
But before you think Brittany is ready to throw on a Kamala Harris t-shirt, hold up! The source clarified, “This doesn’t mean she is suddenly voting Kamala. It has just made her more aware of supporting him so publicly.”
