Britpop band Pulp announce summer 2025 arena tour dates

Britpop band Pulp have announced a UK and Ireland arena tour for summer 2025 with two shows at London’s O2 arena.

The six new dates come as an extension to a string of shows already announced including the homecoming headline slot at Tramlines Festival and a headline set at Bilbao BBK in Spain.

Lead singer Jarvis Cocker announced the news on Instagram, writing: “Have I told you lately that I love you? Well… You deserve more and we have more.

“In fact, we have more (but that’s a whole other story… you’ll have to wait a little more time to hear that one). In the meantime: see you this summer!”

Cocker teased that there was “more to tell” their fans but it would be revealed at a later point.

It comes after the band reportedly signed a new record deal with Rough Trade Records last year, leading to speculation that a new album could be in the works.

The singer added that dynamic pricing, a system which increases prices at times of demand, would not be used after the approach caused controversy during the Oasis tour sale.

Pulp will kick off the new shows on June 7 at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro followed by a performance at Dublin’s 3Arena on June 10.

The Sheffield rockstars will play two consecutive nights at London’s O2 on June 13 and 14 and one night in Birmingham before closing the tour at Manchester Co-op Live on June 19.

The band was first formed in the late 1970s during their school days and released their debut album It in 1983.

It was not until the 1990s when they rose to prominence, with 1995’s Different Class becoming their first UK number one album.

They helped drive the Britpop scene and became known for hits including Common People and Do You Remember The First Time?

Pre-sale tickets will start going live on Tuesday February 18 at 9.30am, with general sale opening up later.
