Britney Spears works on first new music in six years following end of conservatorship

Princess of pop Britney Spears is readying herself to release her first new music in six years after successfully battling to end her conservatorship.

The singer, 40, had previously said she didn't expect to release any more music but she is now said to be set to work on a new album, which will be music to the ears of her fans - literally.

While it's an exciting announcement, the Toxic singer is said to be taking it slow and not rushing any release.

The Sun reports that the songstress and her team are beginning to put "feelers out about the prospect of new music".

A source said: "Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved."

Those reported to have been contacted - and keen on the idea - include Claude Kelly who has written a number of hits for the likes of Jason Derulo and Miley Cyrus.

He also worked on Britney's 2008 album Circus, which included huge songs such as Womanizer.

The insider continued: "She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf."

Last year, Britney admitted she needed to be her "own cheerleader".

While slamming her family, she said: "Yes … I will be my own cheerleader … why ???? I’m here to remind my white “classy” family that I haven’t forgotten what they did to me nor will I ever forget!!!!⁣"

Since her conservatorship ended, Britney has been enjoying time with her fiance Sam Asghari.

The singer and the 28-year-old have regularly shared updates of their luxurious life with their social media followers, including a recent trip to Hawaii.

The pair have continued to fuel rumours that they are set to marry and have kids together with Brit saying earlier this month she was ready to start a family with the actor.

The 40-year-old singer - already mum to Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden, 15 - took to Instagram to declare: "Planning on having babies in Polynesia !!!!!!"

She made the statement alongside a string of stunning topless beach snaps, one of which she was seen kneeling down in the water wearing nothing but a pair of yellow bikini bottoms with pink ties on the side and some jewellery.
