Pop icon Britney Spears was recently photographed for the first time since reaching a settlement in her conservatorship case with her estranged father, Jamie Spears. The singer was seen attempting to maintain a low profile while driving around the San Fernando Valley, California.
During the outing, Spears was observed leaning back in the passenger seat of a Mercedes SUV, with her companion driving. In an effort to evade paparazzi, she went to great lengths by reclining all the way down, extending her legs forward, and rolling up the windows. At one point, she even inadvertently cracked the windshield with her heel after resting her feet on the dashboard.
Her companion, Paul Richard Soliz, a former housekeeper and convicted felon, also tried to shield himself from the camera flashes. The pair eventually drove off together, with Spears dressed in a blue and white striped shirt, blue jeans, orange pumps, and aviator sunglasses, while Soliz wore a blue plaid shirt.
Speculation about a romantic relationship between Spears and Soliz was debunked by the singer herself in a social media post earlier this year. The recent public appearance comes after reports of their growing closeness amid Spears' divorce from Sam Asghari.
Following the settlement of her conservatorship, Spears' attorney confirmed that she is now free from any further legal entanglements in the matter. While she will be responsible for covering her father's legal fees, estimated at $2 million, sources indicate that she is eager to move forward and put the past behind her.
Spears made headlines in 2021 when she testified against her father, revealing details of the control he exerted over her life, including decisions about her health and finances. The end of the 13-year conservatorship marked a significant milestone for the singer, who is now focused on rebuilding relationships with her family.
