Britney Spears' youngest son Jayden has offered the pop superstar an olive branch during a series of interviews to be aired by ITV News.
The 15-year-old along with older brother Sean Preston, 16, lives with father Kevin Federline. The trio hit the headlines last month after Federline, 44, revealed in an interview of his own that the pair no longer wished to see Toxic star Brit, having not seen her in months.
He also stated that the boys had become 'increasingly uncomfortable' during their visits to 40-year-old Britney's LA home.
That resulted in a fallout, leading Britney to respond with a now-deleted Instagram post that the boys had acted 'hatefully' and 'abandoned' her.
Later, Federline shared videos of the singer arguing with her sons and wrote in the caption: "I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they’ve been through. As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12.
"This isn’t even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this. #NeverFearTruth."
Youngster Jayden, however, has now spoken out publicly for the first time in an emotional please to his mother.
On Friday, he declared: "I love you a lot and I hope for the best for you. Maybe one day we can sit down and talk again and have a normal conversation."
He added: "I 100% think this can be fixed. It's just going to take a lot of time and effort. I just want her to get better mentally. When she gets better I really want to see her again."
Earlier in the interview, however, Jayden backed up his father's previous comments, saying: "The type of environment she gave us was not very comfortable for me and my brother. Once you're ten or 11, that’s when you come to the realisation of things. There's no hate... I really want to see her again. It will make me happy, and it will make Preston happy."
Britney was left heartbroken in June, meanwhile, after the boys 'politely declined' an invitation to attend her wedding to 28-year old Sam Asghari.
