Jamie Lynn Spears was among those who liked her sister Britney Spears ' assumed pregnancy announcement on social media yesterday, amid silence from the singer's relatives.
Britney, 40, told fans she was having a baby in a post on Instagram yesterday following a recent trip to Maui, in which she said she noticed that she had put on some weight.
The post prompted comments and likes from fans and fellow celebrities, including socialite Paris Hilton, 41, who congratulated Britney and expressed her excitement.
And among the others who liked the post was Jamie Lynn, 31, who's had a tense relationship with her sister in recent months following the release of her tell-all memoir.
Jamie Lynn liked her sister's post, though doesn't appear to have commented on the news, which was announced as she celebrated one of her children's birthdays.
The actor was celebrating the birthday of her youngest daughter, Ivey Watson, 4.
She wrote: "Happy 4th birthday Ivey. I could go on and on about all the many ways you have made our lives so much better, but I'll save that for when you can actually read."
Jamie Lynn so far appears to have been the only close relative of Britney to respond to the news, with their mother Lynne Spears, 66, having not liked the recent post.
The Toxic singer and partner Sam Asghari, 28, announced that they were expecting their first child together in separate posts on Instagram yesterday.
She wrote: "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back … I thought 'Geez … what happened to my stomach ???' [Sam] said 'No you're food pregnant silly!'"

She continued: "So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant It’s growing! If 2 are in there … I might just loose it …"
"It's hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression … I have to say it is absolutely horrible … women didn't talk about it back then … some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her."
Britney however said that now women "talk about it everyday," with her grateful that such pain isn't a "reserved proper secret" anymore. She added: "Spreading lots of joy and love!"
The news comes just months after the Toxic singer was freed from her conservatorship, with her having been involved in a lengthy battle to regain control of her life.
She'd been under the conservatorship - controlled by her father Jamie Spears, 69, among others - since 2008, with it ruled in court that it should end in November last year.
Britney - who shares sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with ex-husband Kevin Federline, 44 - has previously spoken about her desire to have another child and is said to have dropped hints recently that she was pregnant.
