Britney Spears has revealed that she has reconciled with her estranged mother.
In a post shared to Instagram on Thursday, the Toxic singer, 41, shared that her mum Lynne had visited her at home after not seeing each other for three years.
“My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years... it's been such a long time... with family there's always things that need to be worked out... but time heals all wounds!!!” her post began.
Suggesting that they had been able to mend fences during their meet-up, she sounded hopeful about their relationship, even suggesting a future mother-daughter shopping trip.
She continued: “And after being able to communicate what I’ve held in for an extremely long time, I feel so blessed we were able to try to make things RIGHT !!! I love you so much!!! Psss… I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years !!! Let’s go shopping afterwards!!!”
The pop star included a throwback picture with her post showing her as a little girl dressed in a pink tutu.
The two have had a complicated relationship over the last decade with Britney previously claiming that Lynne was behind the conservatorship which controlled most aspects of her life for almost 13 years.
It was finally terminated in 2021 and Britney then launched multiple attacks on family members including Lynne, her dad Jamie and sister Jamie Lynne.
Consequently none of her relatives were invited to her wedding to Sam Asghari in 2022.
