Britney Spears has seemingly extended an olive branch to her estranged mother Lynne Spears in a bid to end their on-going feud.
Following the termination of her conservatorship last November, the Toxic hitmaker has regularly criticised her family, notably her mother, for her involvement over the 13-year arrangement.
However, it appears that Spears is ready to rebuild their relationship as she invited Lynne for a coffee in an Instagram post on Tuesday night.
Writing alongside a cropped image from her trip to Mexico, the Toxic hitmaker penned: “Mom and Dad … I crossed the border and I made it !!!
“After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!”
Although, it’s not clear whether the post is an indication the star is ready to reach out, or if it is written with sarcasm following years of being denied coffee thanks to her conservatorship.
Unlike the majority of her previous posts, Spears disabled the comments on the selfie, in which she also criticised Instagram for allegedly censoring her posts.
Previously, Lynne offered her daughter an apology for all the pain she endured under the conservatorship and urged her to let them discuss it in person.
"I am sooo sorry for your pain!" she commented under one of her daughter’s posts in October. “I have been sorry for years!
“I love you so much and miss you! Please unblock me, so I can speak to you in person.
“Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that’s hurt you!”
However, the Circus songstress rejected her mother’s attempt to reconcile by responding, "Mom take your apology and go f**k yourself !!!
“And to all the doctors for f**king with my mind... I pray you all burn in hell !!!”
Spears’ latest comment to her family comes after she heaped praise on her estranged sister Jamie Lynn and called her "my heart" in an Instagram post marking her 41st birthday.
