Britney Spears no-show at Oscars party as fiancé Sam Asghari goes solo on red carpet

Following in end of her conservatorship in November, Britney Spears was hotly tipped to attend the 2022 Oscars.

However, following her newfound freedom, the singer decided to give the annual event a skip - much to the dismay of her loyal fanbase.

While the Toxic singer, 40, was notably absent from the awards ceremony, her husband-to-be, Sam Asghari looked dapper as he strolled the red carpet without his other half.

The personal trainer, 28, looked super suave in a classic black tuxedo suit as he beamed for the cameras.

While some fans were delighted to see Britney's beau on the Oscars red carpet, others insisted that it 'didn't make sense' for him to be there without the singer.

Taking to Twitter to share their reactions as Sam stormed the Oscars red carpet, fans flocked to insist how 'weird' Britney's absence seemed.

"It doesn't make any sense for him to be there without Britney," one viewer insisted.

"I love Sam but I only want to see him if Britney is with him," another added.

"Why is Britney Spears' fiancé at the Oscars and Britney isn't? Make it make sense maybe," someone else quipped.

Meanwhile, a fourth shared: "Sam is gorgeous and all, but he just sticks out like a sore thumb without his lady by his side - in my opinion at least.

Sam's solo appearance at the Oscars comes after Britney recently declared her love for her fiancé as she insisted she's ready to have babies with him.

Britney shared a sweet Instagram post to mark Sam's 29th birthday, and the pop sensation revealed her desire for the pair to have a child together.

The singer currently has two teen kids with Kevin Federline - Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15 - but she is ready for baby number three with her current beau.

The Toxic singer, 40, uploaded the romantic snap of the happy couple standing in front of a beautiful seaside sunset and captioned the image: "Happy Birthday to my Fiancé … I love you so much … I want a family with you … I want it all with you !!!!"

And Sam was quick to respond, saying: " Millions of things to wish for. I only have one wish."
