Pop singer Britney Spears' is all set to tell her story in her own words in her memoir titled 'The Woman in Me', which is expected to be released in October this year. The news was shared by her publisher Gallery Books on social media on July 11.
'The Woman in Me' is “a brave and astonishingly moving story about freedom, fame, motherhood, survival, faith, and hope," as per a press release by Gallery Books. “For the first time her incredible journey [and] strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history... (It) illuminates the enduring power of music and love – and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms," it further read.
Spears had landed the deal for whopping $15m with the publisher in 2021. In the book she will tell her side of the story regarding her rise to fame, her complex relationship with her family and parents, her relationships, mental health issues and public meltdown, and her experience of being in a legal conservatorship for 12 years, which was finally ended in 2021 by a judge.
'The Woman in Me' by Britney Spears is expected to be released on October 24, 2023. Gallery Books is an imprint of Simon & Schuster.
