Britney Spears has denied attending a party with Paris Hilton amid claims that the heiress had photoshopped Britney into group photos.
It was previously reported that the Toxic hitmaker and pal Paris had partied together at Hollywood agent Cade Hudson's 35th birthday party.
However, Britney has taken to Instagram to deny the claims, and said that the photos that Paris had shared of her were "old photos".
Sharing a video of her posing in a red crop top with the Coca-Cola label printed across it and a mini skirt in the same colour, Britney called the photos "creepy" and "weird".
She wrote in the caption: "Also have no idea about these pics of me from a birthday party … I haven’t been to a bday party in forever !!!
"And as for the pics, those have to be from years ago !!! Kind of creepy and weird that no one is talking about that … makes no sense whatsoever !!!"
Paris had shared a selection of photos of her and Cade in a post where she wished him a happy birthday.
She was then accused by Britney's army of loyal fans of photoshopping her into the photos.
Paris took to Instagram to hit back at the "ridiculous" accusations, explaining how she sometimes uses an app to reduce blurring on photos.
In a since deleted comment, she wrote: "To all of those asking. Some of these photos were taken on an iPhone so they ended up being blurry. So they used this app called Remini to make it look unblurry and sometimes the Ai distorts images.
"Didn't want to even dignify this with a response," she added. "But some of these conspiracy theories are absolutely ridiculous."
In Paris's happy birthday post to Cade, she hadn't specified whether Britney was at his party or not.
Instead she was simply sharing a selection of snaps of her and Cade from over the years.
But Brit's fans attacked Paris, accusing her of photoshopping her into the photos taken from the party - despite Paris's hair and outfits looking different in every photo.
However fans who have been spilling conspiracy theories about Britney's recent activity on social media, claimed that the Toxic singer wasn't really in the photos.
One person wrote: That's not Britney," while another added: "Is that an AI Britney??"
Another outraged fan wrote: "'Look at her fingers!!! WTF Paris? You're becoming more and more shady to me and I used to love you dude."
"How dare you participate in whatever is going on with Brit? This won't end well for you!
"And if you delete my comment it'll just solidify my thoughts about you," they continued.
The situation wasn't helped by TMZ, who reported that Britney was at the party and that she and Paris were together for the whole night.
Other celebrities at the star-studded bash included Robert Pattinson, Edward Norton, Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato and Suki Waterhouse.
Paris and Britney have been firm friends for years and Paris was invited to Brit's wedding in June last year.

Britney's fans have been increasingly concerned for her welfare after she has become infamous for posting naked photos on Instagram.
Many have claimed that Britney isn't in control of her social media accounts, which resulted in the singer disabling the comment section.
