Britney Spears is regularly updating her fans on her newfound freedom, but she has confessed that creating nail art helped her to deal with her "unbearable" social anxiety.
The songstress, 40, took to Instagram on Monday to tell her 39.7 million followers that her new nail embellishments had helped to grow her confidence as she struggled with social anxiety.
Uploading an image of her nails, complete with little butterflies and bow designs, Brit wrote: "Have people been holding out on me because I’ve never seen these before! The most adorable little charms I’ve ever seen in my life!"
She continued and confessed: "I’ve felt ghosted most of my life … but if you feel somewhat not acknowledged enough in life or have confidence problems, I swear these charms do in fact change your perspective !!!
"For instance … I never talk because I’m usually shy … I have social anxiety but like the worst kind where it’s unbearable … but holy s*** there’s hope !!!
"I looked at my hands, saw these charms and I exploded with conversation … not scared at all to talk … and maybe my new dope a** assistant had a little something to do with that too !!!"
She concluded the post by joking about how small her hands were and pleaded with her followers not to laugh.
Instead of laughing, fans opted to send positive vibes with messages saying how much they liked the pop star's new nails and her newfound relationship with her assistant.
One fan wrote: "Love this Britney and so happy you have an assistant that makes you feel amazing and that you can be yourself after so many years of having the complete opposite kind of people in your corner."
Another commented: "Anything you do is gorgeous. Viva La Britney."
A third said: "There are so many fun things to explore! You go B, you deserve ALL THE CHARMS."
And a fourth joked: "Charmney."
Shortly before the post, Britney uploaded another compilation video of her with her fiance Sam Asghari, 28, from their latest vacation.
She captioned the clip which showed them dancing and enjoying a romantic trip: "Thank you baby for always reminding me what life is about … Joy, laughter, and living … My experience was a woman’s dream."
As ever, actor Sam was quick to repay the compliment, writing back: " My life is a man’s dream."
