Britney Spears ' older brother missed her wedding to Sam Asghari due to scheduling conflicts.
Bryan Spears, 45, was the only member of the immediate family to receive an invite to the big day, which took place at her stunning Thousand Oaks home in California on Thursday.
Following the end of her controversial 13-year conservatorship, Britney has been at loggerheads with dad Jamie Spears, 69, mum Lynne Spears, 67, and younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 31, and did not appear to invite her family to the ceremony.
However, her older brother did not show up as Britney and Sam tied the knot in front of 60 guests after choosing to attend his daughter Lexie's elementary school graduation instead.
On a joint Instagram account alongside girlfriend Amber Lynn Conklin, Bryan posted a photo of the couple and Lexie on Friday, the caption read: "Watched our little munchkin & Vice President of 5th grade become a middle schooler yesterday! We love you Lexie baby and SO proud of you."
The joint account gave further explanation about their absence in the replies of a photo of the couple together.
When asked why Bryan and Amber did not attend, they wrote: "Ironically Lexie had her 5th grade graduation & we couldn’t help the timings" alongside a crying emoji face.
"Bryan felt terrible having to choose but he had to be there for his daughter and sent his love to Britney x1000000.
"We are so sad to miss such an important moment but so so happy for Britney and Sam’s Marriage!"
After walking down the aisle in a custom Atelier Versace in front of celebrity friends Madonna, Pairs Hilton, Selena Gomez and Drew Barrymore, Britney changed into three more different outfits before taking to social media to share her delight at being a married woman again.
She wrote on Instagram: "Wow !!! Holy holy crap !!! WE DID IT !!! WE GOT MARRIED!!! Gggggeeeeezzzzz !!! It was the most spectacular day !!!"
Britney continued: "I was so nervous all morning but then at 2:00 pm it really hit me … WE'RE GETTING MARRIED !!! I had a panic attack and then got it together.
"The crew who created our home into literally a dream castle were fantastic !!! The ceremony was a dream and the party was even better !!!"
On Monday evening, Britney's ex-husband Jason Alexander was reportedly not allowed to contact the singer in any way for the next three years after attempting to gatecrash the wedding.
The songstress, 40, was married to childhood pal Jason for just 55 hours in 2004 after they tied the knot in Las Vegas.
However, after the service was quickly annulled, the pair went their separate ways and Jason filmed himself trying to enter his ex's property on the day of her third marriage.
