Messi has played twice against the Ibrox club throughout his lengthy career, with both appearances coming within the space of a month.
Indeed, the legendary attacker scored one and assisted another across two games against Rangers in the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League group stage.
Now 37 years of age, his contract with Inter Miami expires at the end of the current calendar year.
Messi moved stateside in the summer of 2023 after a brief spell with Paris Saint-Germain.
