British teen fights for life after being attacked as he left party boat in Greece

A teenager from the UK is fighting for his life in hospital after being attacked by two fellow British tourists on the Greek island Zante.

The incident unfolded as the trio were leaving a party boat on the island as part of a bigger group.

The teen, aged 19, was pushed to the ground by the two other men, Birmingham Live reports, and sustained serious head injuries.

He was rushed to Zante's General Hospital and is currently intubated in the intensive care unit.

He will reportedly be transferred to a larger medical facility in due course.

The group had gotten into an argument on Wednesday as the boat docked and the teenager was allegedly shoved to the ground, where he hit his head.

Two Brits from the group have reportedly been arrested by cops.

The Coast Guard made the arrests and the pair are currently being held in the Port Authority's detention facilities.

The police are investigating the incident, but the Foreign Office is yet to comment.

It comes after a British tourist was found dead on the weekend on a sunbed in Crete.

The 54-year-old man was discovered at roughly 8pm on Saturday by concerned sunbathers at a popular beach.

When they went to check on the man, they realised he was unconscious and called an ambulance.

It happened at the Stalida beach in the municipality of Hersonissos, with the Brit appearing to enjoy the sun throughout the day.

However, he was described as being motionless for hours on his deckchair, prompting those nearby to call the emergency services, local media reports.

Paramedics rushed to the scene to perform CPR but couldn't save him.
