Jack Kennedy insists it's "all systems go" for the new Bennetts British Superbike Championship despite poor weather conditions disrupting his final pre-season test.
Rain impacted on Wednesday's session at Silverstone, the same circuit that will host the opening round of the new series on Easter weekend (April 7-9).
Kennedy and Lisburn-based Mar-Train Yamaha Racing completed a number of "valuable" laps on the R1 machine, following on from two previous tests in Spain.

"It was a valuable test. The weather conditions weren't great, but when you realised that it wasn't going to improve you just got on with it," Kennedy said.
"Even though they were wet laps they were valuable in making sure the bike is right for the first round. And we were able to iron out any small issues with the new bike following the crash in Spain.
"We were probably riding around at about 90 per cent. In those conditions the last thing you want to do is push it and end up crashing.
"It was also good to work with the team and see the new trailer as well."

Kennedy added: "The weather was poor but we got what we needed out of it, and now it's all systems go for the opening round next weekend.
"It will soon come around and we can't wait to get started. Hopefully we get some better weather come race weekend.
"I am really excited."
Mar-Train Yamaha Racing Team Owner, Tim Martin, added: "That's all the testing done and we are ready to go racing. We had the two Spanish tests in Andalucia and Navarra, but we didn't do the Donington Park test.
"Silverstone was obviously difficult because of the weather but we finally spun some laps on Wednesday.
"It was wet but we wanted to get some laps in. We were mindful of the wet conditions and the fact it was only a test, so we didn't push too much.
"We just wanted to make sure everything was working okay and sort out any issues with the bike and electronics, and Jack built the speed up as the test progressed.
"We didn't push like we would in a race or qualifying because of the conditions. The weather was frustrating because you are there to work, and then the rain throws a curveball.
"But the testing is all done now and the team is home. The bike is ready to go, and Jack is ready to go.
"We might get the same conditions at the opening round because of the time of year it is. But we will deal with whatever comes our way."
