Coronation Street had a dream night on home turf at the British Soap Awards winning a string of the top gongs. The awards ceremony this year took place at The Lowry theatre in Salford - just across the water from the ITV set.
The Manchester-set soap was the biggest winner on the night, scooping six awards. However, they failed to take the biggest gong - for soap of the year - which instead went to BBC's EastEnders.
However it was a night of huge celebrations for cast and crew of Corrie, celebrating a string of the big awards on soap's glitziest night.

Corrie's Charlotte Jordan scooped Best Dramatic Performance for her role as Daisy Midgeley in the soap. And a delighted Charlotte was back on stage with her co-stars to collect both the Scene of The Year award and Best Single Episode for the dramatic acid attack in the soap.
Meanwhile screen icon Maureen Lipman was honoured as Best Comedy Performer for her role as Corrie's Evelyn Plummer. And Corrie's Channique Sterling-Brown was crowned Best Newcomer for her role as Dee-Dee Bailey.
Corrie's iconic Platt family, who have suffered every high and low imaginable in Weatherfiled, were honoured as "Best Family" on the night. They were given the award by reunited Brookside trio of Sue Jenkins, Dean Sullivan and Claire Sweeney - who has just joined Corrie herself.
The awards ceremony was presented by singer and TV favourite Jane McDonald. She was drafted in at the last minute after Phillip Schofield pulled out of all ITV commitments following his affair confession.
Corrie was the biggest winner on the night scooping six awards, followed by EastEnders on four. Hollyoaks took two awards, while Emmerdale and Doctors gained just one each.
It was a tought night for Emmerdale as it failed to win any of the main "live" categories - the ITV soap's one gong was an Outstanding Acheivement award bestowed on the soap's Mark Charnock who has played Marlon Dingle since 1996.
The event was recorded in front of a live audience at The Lowry theatre at Salford Quays on Saturday night. It was decided not to screen the event live this year, and instead it will be aired on ITV on Tuesday, June 6 at 8pm.
Here's the winners list in full from the event - plus who presented each award, and the full list of nominees for each category.
