A pub has been branded "Britain's ugliest" online after a social media post went viral - but not everyone agrees.
The popular JD Wetherspoon pub in Yeovil, Somerset was given the label by people on Reddit, Somerset Live reports.
One user commented that they "went to Yeovil today and found Britain's ugliest pub: The William Dampier Wetherspoons".
They then added two photos of the flat roof establishment to illustrate their point.
The post garnered the attention of thousands of other users, with some agreeing that it is the nation's most unsightly boozer, while others offered up their own suggestions for the title.

On the viral post, one Reddit user wrote: "That is the epitome of the word grim."
Another user wrote: "That is depressing."
While a third wrote: "The pub matches the rest of that town."
However, some users jumped to the defence of the pub.
One Reddit user wrote: "You’re untraveled. There’s plenty worse than this. I’ll do a lap of South Wales tomorrow to show you."
Others pointed out that the photos were taken from the back of the establishment, and therefore are an unfair representation.

One user wrote: "I'm from Yeovil. I agree - but the photo is of the back of the pub. The front is facing the High Street."
Another added: "Looks a bit better from the main entrance."
Furthermore, one user reminded others that you should never judge a book by its cover.
They wrote: "A pub is a pub, doesn't matter if it’s ugly. If I can drink from it, I’m fine."
Contributors to the thread piled in with examples of what they thought were uglier pubs from across the UK.

Plans have been in the pipeline since 2019 to build a new £1.5m "garden roof terrace" at the William Dampier in Yeovil.
Detailed drawings outlining the revamp show a redevelopment of the existing disused first floor - converting it into a mix of indoor and outdoor seating with space for around 280 people.
The project was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, but in July this year JD Wetherspoon confirmed the project was still planned to go ahead.
The William Dampier has also been awarded a platinum rating for the quality and standards of its toilets in the Loo of the Year Awards 2021.

Speaking about the Reddit post, JD Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "Everyone is entitled to their view.
"The important fact is that The William Dampier is a very popular and well-run pub."
