'Britain's most tattooed man' to ink last 3% of skin - despite wife's disgust

He's been coined 'Britain's most tattooed man' and now Keith Gordon has shared his mission to get every single part of his body completely covered in ink.

The 67-year-old has just three percent of his skin left untouched, including his whole head, lips and eyelids, but it isn't enough - Keith still wants more.

The self-confessed 'tattoo addict' has no idea how many tats he has in total or the sum cost of his body art, but his head and face ink alone set him back £6,000.

Though his biggest problem isn't affording the ink, it's finding a spot for it and trying to think of new designs that he hasn't already got.

Keith, from Romford, Essex, said: "I've got absolutely everything I could have already - it's hard to think of what else to get to fill the spaces!"

The dad-of-three didn't start getting tattoos until he turned 52, but 15 years later, he has hundreds from head to toe.

His most recent ink saw him get the words 'f*** off' on his lower leg - one of the only body parts that still has empty space left.

Former office administrator Keith estimates that he has just three percent of his skin untouched, and he plans to fill this with shading to leave him completely covered in tats.

"I have no regrets about looking like this, although it makes basic tasks a bit challenging," he said. "I get stares constantly and people come up to me asking if they hurt and what they cost.

"Being heavily tattooed though, it's like an addiction. You're chasing the high and the euphoria of getting more tattoos, each more outrageous than the last.

"At the moment now I just want to get rid of any white spaces. I'm going towards total coverage now."

Keith has made appearances in EastEnders and Jurassic Park thanks to his unique look - and is the self-appointed "coolest looking guy in Essex".

He got his first tattoos at 17, but underwent several skin grafts four years later to remove them. He then lived tattoo-free until his fifties.

Keith went full circle and took the look to new extremes, tattooing most of his body, even his eyelids.

Now, there's next-to-no skin left uncovered, and the 67-year-old has spent tens of thousands of pounds on his image.

"I don't know how many there are in total. I've lost count. It is just one big project," he said. "But getting my whole head tattooed was a very extreme, intense experience.

"At times it was very, very painful especially around the corner of the eyes, the lip and parts of the inner ear - that was absolutely killer."

The retired civil servant often gets stared at and approached in public, but doesn't mind intrusive questions about his appearance.

"Looking like I do, I am treated differently but it's a lifestyle," he said. "I see it as living outside the box even though it can be challenging doing basic things.

"Whenever I have people come to my house - workmen, delivery drivers, plumbers - I have to warn them on the phone 'I don't look anything like I sound'.

"People come up to me in the streets - the two most common questions are 'did that hurt?' and 'how much did that cost?'

"The novelty does wear off a bit after getting the same questions for 15 years, but all in all I'm still happy to look like this."

The same cannot be said for his wife Lisa, a former cleaner from the Philippines, who previously said: "I never would have married him if he looked like this when I met him.

"I feel embarrassed when we are out and everyone stares. But he's a good husband and a good father and I persevere.

"People think I am with him for the money but that's not true. I love him, that's why we got married."

Despite his spouse's disapproval, Keith has made it his latest mission to achieve "total coverage", except for that beneath his boxers.

He has some more common tats, such as his wife and children's names, as well as some "satanic" designs that feature a devil.

"It's a kind of high, an addiction. You're chasing the euphoria, wanting more outrageous," Keith explained.

"Where do you go when you reach the top? For now, I'm just going to keep going until everything's covered."
