Britain's Got Talent viewers get 'goosebumps' as shy 12-year-old schoolboy wows with Beyoncé rendition

A shy 12-year-old schoolboy wowed the judges with his singing on Britain's Got Talent. Before his performance of Beyoncé's iconic hit 'Listen' on Sunday, May 14, Dylan from London said he was a "bit shy" and didn't sing in front of his friends.

The youngster, who has been singing since he was little with his sisters, admitted to being "very scared" to perform in front of thousands of people in the audience. But his fear seemed to melt away as he began his performance, leaving the judges and audience transfixed by his soulful voice.

Unsurprisingly, he received a standing ovation from all four judges, with Alesha Dixon calling his performance "phenomenal". "Wow, I think I spent most of that audition gobsmacked," she said. Meanwhile Amanda Holden called it "flawless".

Simon Cowell added: "You picked up one of the most iconic, most difficult songs to sing as your first audition. It wasn't perfect, but no audition is perfect, and I think it says a lot about you - you know that you're confident, tells us who you want to be. I really like you." Dylan, who said he'd use the prize money to visit Disneyland and make albums, was overjoyed to receive four 'yeses'.

The youngster received just as much praise from viewers on social media too. TV presenter Alex Beresford tweeted: "Dylan on @BGT just killed it!!!!! What a voice and he’s 12."

Another viewer tweeted: "Geeeeeez Dylan's vocals giving me massive goosebumps". A third wrote: "Oh wow! What a voice at 12 years old! Actual goosebumps! Dylan was incredible! I definitely 'listened!'"
