Britain's Got Talent viewers ask 'are you serious' as judges final decision sparks complaints

The Britain's Got Talent final is in full swing - but viewers have been left complaining after the judges' last-minute decision. The ITV talent show kicked off tonight (June 4) with an introduction of the 10 acts who are set to perform in the final after making it through the live semi-finals.

It was then announced that a wildcard, chosen by judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli, would also be making the line-up. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed that the judges had chosen none other than Japanese comedy act Tonikaku as their wildcard, with Simon Cowell later saying it was a 'unanimous' decision.

The wildcard is regularly given to an act who missed out on a place in the final after their semi-final performance, but is someone who the judges believe deserves another shot at the final.

Tonikaku, whose routine involves posing in ways to make himself look naked before saying "don't worry, I'm wearing...", is now in the running to perform at the Royal Variety Performance as well as bagging the £250,000 prize money if he wins tonight.

But fans were left less than impressed with the judges choice of wildcard, with some claiming it was an 'insult' to some of the other semi finalists and others saying they're now 'switching off'.

@jimpmb tweeted: "They picked pants guy as the wildcard!? He was literally the worst one!!."

@Mazza0308 asked: "Are you serious???? That is the wild card. Get a grip."

@nickypaulsmith also said: "Are you having a laugh?? Out of all the talent that didn't get through you chose the least talented! What the actual F! What a joke!!."

@jodi_cheety_x added: "I'm sorry are you actually joking me. What an insult to the other semi finalists. You all should be ashamed."

@cazarell tweeted: "So the wild card is this fool great!! Switched off bye."
