Britain's Got Talent Stavros Flatley's child star is now a dad and has a very different job

Britain's Got Talent child star Lagi Demetriou, who shot to fame as one half of the iconic Greek dance duo Stavros Flatley, has now had a child of his own. Lagi was just 13 when he appeared on the ITV talent show with his dad Demi in 2009.

Together the father and son duo performed a hilarious dance routine in their audition, featuring traditional Greek dancing, and came third in the competition behind singer Susan Boyle and dance group Diversity. Now he has announced the birth of his first child, a daughter, with his fiancée Annika Crawford.

Lagi announced the news by posting a photo of the baby's hand holding this and captioned with the baby's name Xenia Demetriou and the date of birth. Fellow Britain's Got Talent contestants Twist and Pulse commented their congratulations to the couple, they said: "The biggest congrats to you all."

Since the birth of his daughter, Lagi, who is now 25, has posted a photo of himself pushing the pram. He has been engaged to Annika since 2020. The loved-up couple seem to be overjoyed at the new addition to their family.

Lagi has left his career in show business behind as he focuses on his barbershop in Cyprus, which has a Stavros Flatley Museum in the toilet. Demi is continuing with the act, with his nephew, 19-year-old Sampson, taking Lagi's place.

Demi has claimed that together he and Lagi made £2m from their act and both have appeared on the TV show Sugar Free Farm, where they tried a sugar free diet. Demi became emotional on the show in front of Lagi when he was told his weight meant he had an increased risk of suffering from a heart attack.

They have also taken part in Celebrity Coach Trip and returned to Britain's Got Talent for the 2019 special The Champions. Lagi has not ruled out returning to the act, after receiving advice from Simon Cowell as The Mirror reported, he said: "When we got to The Champions, I thought this was the right time to leave. But Simon Cowell told me not to quit forever. So I will return for some shows."

The star also has a TikTok account where he shows snippets of his life with Annika and his now his new baby daughter. The couple have been together for five years and often share their relationship online with sweet pictures and messages.

Since Britain's Got Talent Demi has sold the family restaurant and his electrical firm, Lagi Contractors Ltd, went into administration and it is believed Demi personally lost £180,000. The father and son remain close as Demi now has a water sports shop in Cyprus, near to Lagi's barber shop.
